The University of Washington’s Cultural Fest brought together fashion designers, culture, and music. In the fashion section I met Afiqah Amil, a senior at the University of Washington and creator of Amil, a scarf company.
Afiqah started Amil two years ago. As a women who wears a headscarf she wanted to start creating scarfs and incorporting different fabics and designs. Her designs are inspired by her cultural background as well as nature.
